I am the worst person to talk to through text, instant message, and even on the phone. I’ll be really diligent in holding up a conversation initially, then after a while if I become comfortable around someone after knowing them for a while, I get really boring.

The only time I really like talking to anyone is in person. I like hearing their laugh and seeing their expressions. I like flailing my arms like a retard gesticulating when I talk. I like the small instances of physical contact— brushing arms, patting someone on the shoulder, high fives… You can’t get that any other way except face to face. 

Talking to someone in person is effortless and fluid for the most part. Some pauses and moments of silence in between don’t make that much of a difference. But it feels like you have to work much harder to keep up a good conversation behind a screen and those moments of silence feel awkward and tense.
